Volunteer Opportunities


1. Family Gathering Buddy


Spend time with a small group of children (infants - 5th grade) under the guidance of our Kids' Camp Director. No preparation is necessary as you go through different station activities and serve as a source of connection and regulation. At the beginning of each gathering you'll receive dinner and a short training. 

Commitment: 2.5 hours per month based on your availability

Requirement: Background Check


2. HALO Buddy


Children enrolled in HALO are assigned their own personal buddy. You'll be the friendly face and positive role model who helps a child feel safe, seen, and known over the course of a ten week program by doing the following: 
  • Provide one-on-one positive nurturing interactions
  • Serve as a role model for behavior and offer a secure base for the child to explore social, attachment, and sensory-rich activities
  • Engage in activities such as crafting, snacking, reading, playing, and group activities 
  • Utilize laughter and joy to promote a safe, nurturing environment for the child to learn, explore, create, and heal 
Commitment: 2.5 hours/week for 10 weeks

Requirement: Background Check + 2 Hour On Demand Training 


3. Provide a Meal


Want to be a hero with a spatula (or a pizza delivery app)? We're looking for groups to provide the meal for our fantastic adoptive/foster families and volunteers at our monthly Family Gatherings. Meals will be served on the 3rd Tuesday evening of the month (August - May, not December), and we will have 100-120 grateful guests!

Commitment: Choose 1 month or all 9!
